Japanese Religions offers the following services to the public.
We publish information on religious corporations in Japan (including some religious organizations without legal status) free of charge.
Our primary focus is on religious corporations that have been assigned a corporate number by the Legal Affairs Bureau. However, we also include some organizations that, while not themselves incorporated, oversee subordinate religious corporations under their umbrella.
You can browse and download CSV lists of religious corporations categorized by region.
“Religion-related topics” often invite discussion, but we believe they are subjects that all people must confront. This is because no matter what we discuss—history, education, economics, the environment, or our shared future—religion remains inseparable from human life.
Through this website, we share news, surveys, and research related to religion from both Japan and abroad.
The purpose of this website is not to criticize any specific religion or belief. Rather, it is to encourage readers to reflect on and examine the basis of their own views on religion.
To maintain neutrality and fairness, we do not receive any financial or organizational support from political or religious groups.
