This website is a database that collects and organizes publicly available information on religious juridical persons in Japan. It provides structured data useful for research, journalism, and analysis. Individual organization pages are primarily displayed in Japanese, while guide and information pages are also available in English.
National Tax Agency Corporate Number Publication Site: Corporate Number, Corporate Name, Headquarters (Principal Office) Address, etc.
Agency for Cultural Affairs and Prefectural Publications: Representative Name, Telephone Number, Position, Comprehensive Religious Juridical Person, Religious Classification, Date of Establishment or Registration, etc.
Whenever possible, each data item includes the “Source,” “Acquisition Date,” and “Source Update Date.”
Daily Import: The system retrieves newly published data from sources such as the National Tax Agency API and adds only the records related to religious juridical persons.
Adoption Rules: When multiple sources provide values for the same field, the site evaluates source priority, freshness, and consistency, and displays the most reliable value.
History Management: All raw data are preserved, and adoption history is recorded, making it possible to trace when and from which source each value was adopted.
The database covers religious juridical persons nationwide, including Shinto, Buddhist, Christian, Confucian, and other organizations.
Religious classifications are based on official publications and organization names, following the notation and standards of comprehensive organizations or local governments.
When multiple entities with the same name exist within a single municipality, the region name is appended to the page title.
When the same name appears frequently nationwide, a dedicated list page is created to organize them by region.
If you wish to request non-display of your organization’s information for specific reasons, even though it is based on public data, please use the “Request Non-Display” link on the relevant page. After review and approval, the page will be excluded from search results and shown only in a simplified format (or return a 410 Gone response).
If you find errors in the organization name, representative, address, contact information, or religious classification, please report them via the “Request Correction” link on each page. Submitted information will be stored as source data, reviewed, and reflected with source citation, while maintaining the full revision history.
